We offer comprehensive family eye care, treating patients as young as three years-old. Our routine eye exams include a general eye-health check that screens for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and many other diseases that affect the eye. We also offer more comprehensive eye health exams that can include dilation, digitized retinal photography, and automated visual field assessments for our patients that want a more thorough examination of their systemic and eye health.
We offer the following:
• Professional eye exams by licensed optometrists
• Treatment of eye disease
• Contact lens exams
• Eye wear (frames and lenses)
• Prescription Sunglasses
• Computer Glasses
• Contact Lenses
• Polishing of RGPs
The staff at Farr Eyecare Group is composed of optometrists and technicians. Optometrists are doctors that complete a four-year degree and then go to an accredited school of optometry for another four years. They are state-licensed as specialists trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the eye and its related structures. They write prescriptions for glasses, contact lenses, and eye-health problems. They manage patient care with the ophthalmologists that perform eye surgeries and opticians that fit and adjust eyeglasses.
Optometric technicians are trained to sanitize and set up office equipment, perform preliminary eye exam tests, dispense contact lenses, and provide contact lens insertion and removal training. The technicians at Farr Eyecare Group are also trained in applying insurance benefits, billing, and answering many technical questions.
